PRV AudiPRV Audio’s 8MB700FT Forte Series is specifically engineered for increased power handling and reduced distortion. Its larger voice coil provides excellent heat dissipation and strong Bl force to maintain high sensitivity even at high power levels with minimal distortion. 

The low Qts enables tighter, more accurate midbass response. Superior fidelity comes from the ideal pairing of a non-pressed cone for smooth frequency response and a well-ventilated magnet motor designed to support high displacement while keeping distortion low.

To achieve superior fidelity, a special composite cone made from non-pressed paper is used to reduce break-up, resulting in smooth frequency response and low moving mass, which boosts the speaker’s efficiency.

This 8″ driver is an excellent midbass choice for professional audio systems or high SPL car audio setups where extremely high output is needed.

This midbass is built to endure years of demanding professional use! Its specially composed spider minimizes distortion during high excursion, while the double roll surround ensures linear cone travel even at high output. 

With a wide frequency range and 97 dB sensitivity, it's an ideal match for compression drivers in 3-way systems when paired with the recommended HPF settings on a PRV Digital Signal Processor (DSP):

  • 95 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12 
  • 85 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18

The large 2.5″ voice coil enables high 700-watt power handling and supports the advanced cooling system built into the motor. 

Designed with 11 mm of winding depth, this inside/outside coil construction offers superior thermal and mechanical durability.

**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
***Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
