The detailed engineering behind the 12MB1000FT makes it a standout driver. With 97.5 dB efficiency and 1000 watts of continuous program power (RMS), this midbass is perfect for use in stage monitors, auditoriums, touring rigs, and outdoor systems. Its smooth frequency response from 70 to 3,200 Hz also makes it ideal for both 2-way and 3-way system configurations.

A rigid cast aluminum frame with narrow spokes helps reduce reflections back into the cone. The frame also features forced cooling system openings that allow airflow to effectively cool the voice coil.

A large ferrite magnet paired with precisely machined top and bottom plates drives the voice coil with accuracy. Dual forced vents in the back plate further enhance cooling, enabling the driver to handle up to 1000 watts RMS reliably.

Equipped with a specially formulated high-strength pulp paper cone, this driver is built for optimal linearity in the mid frequency range. A protective cone treatment enhances the damping characteristics of the moving assembly, significantly improving the smoothness of its frequency response.

The voice coil is wound on a 3″ glass fiber former with aluminum wire, minimizing weight for exceptionally fast transient response. With 19 mm of winding depth, this inside/outside coil design offers outstanding thermal and mechanical durability.
