Its fully ventilated 4″ voice coil, wound on a heat-resistant Kapton former, allows it to manage an impressive 2,000 watts RMS while minimizing power compression.

As part of the X Series, it’s purpose-built for extreme midrange performance, offering high output, robust power handling, and a smooth, detailed vocal response.

PRV Audio’s 12MR2000X is an ideal 12″ midrange door speaker for extreme car audio enthusiasts, built to handle up to 2000 watts RMS when paired with a properly tuned PRV DSP and a recommended 150 Hz, 18 dB/octave high pass filter.

Its robust magnet structure is mounted to a reinforced cast-aluminum frame, providing the strength and stability needed for high-output, high-impact performance.

With a Qts of 0.28 and a double roll suspension, the 12MR2000X delivers controlled, powerful response from 400 Hz down to 300 Hz, even at high excursion. Its 6.60 mm Xmax and natural composite cone—made from non-pressed paper for reduced break-up—ensure smooth, clean sound.

Paired with 100 dB sensitivity and high power handling, this midrange driver delivers outstanding dynamics and low distortion, maintaining clarity even at extreme output levels.
