Hypex Direct Fusion Amplifiers

The Fusion Amp FA252 is a mono two-way amplifier module built for active loudspeaker applications. It is designed for systems that need higher output power along with separate amplifier channels for low- and high-frequency drivers.

The module includes two 250 W NCORE® Class D amplifier channels and onboard DSP. Signal processing is configured with Hypex Filter Design software, giving users control over crossover filters, levels, and other system parameters for two-way active loudspeaker designs.

The FA252 supports a broad range of analog and digital input options, including balanced analog XLR input with loop through, unbalanced analog RCA input, digital AES input with loop through, digital S/PDIF input with loop through, and optical Toslink input. This makes it easy to integrate with a wide variety of source equipment.

Optional accessories such as the Fusion Remote Kit or Fusion OLED Display are available for remote operation and system feedback.

Multiple Fusion Amp modules can be set up in a master-slave arrangement to create multi-channel active loudspeaker systems. The FA252 is intended for applications where compact integration of higher-power amplification and DSP is needed for two-way active designs.

2-Way Active Loudspeaker

A 2-way speaker is a loudspeaker that has only two drivers, which are a tweeter and a woofer. The woofer covers all frequencies lower than the tweeter. The human ear is more sensitive to mid frequencies, that’s why a speaker system should have at least two types of drivers: one mid-range and the other high-frequency, or tweeter.

3-Way Active Loudspeaker
