Hypex Direct Fusion Amplifiers

The Fusion Amp FA251 is a mono amplifier module developed for one-way active loudspeaker applications. It is intended for active subwoofers or single-channel active monitors that require built-in amplification and DSP control.

The module features one 250 W NCORE® Class D amplifier channel along with onboard DSP. Signal processing is configured through Hypex Filter Design software, allowing filters, levels, and other system parameters to be adjusted for the specific application.

The FA251 offers several input options, including balanced analog XLR input with loop through, unbalanced analog RCA input, and high-level input. This allows it to connect with a variety of source devices and amplifier outputs. A front-panel gain control is included for level adjustment.

Optional accessories such as the Fusion Remote Kit or Fusion OLED Display are available for remote operation and system feedback.

Multiple Fusion Amp modules can be arranged in a master-slave configuration to create multi-channel active loudspeaker systems. The FA251 is intended for applications that need a compact, integrated amplifier and DSP solution for single-channel active designs.

2-Way Active Loudspeaker

A 2-way speaker is a loudspeaker that has only two drivers, which are a tweeter and a woofer. The woofer covers all frequencies lower than the tweeter. The human ear is more sensitive to mid frequencies, that’s why a speaker system should have at least two types of drivers: one mid-range and the other high-frequency, or tweeter.

3-Way Active Loudspeaker

A 3-way speaker is a loudspeaker that uses three separate drivers: a tweeter, a midrange, and a woofer. Because each driver can be optimized for a specific frequency range, a three-way speaker is able to deliver sound that is clearer, fuller, and more precise.
