Hypex Direct Fusion Amplifiers

The FusionAmp FA122 is a mono two-way amplifier module developed for active loudspeaker applications. It serves as an integrated solution for systems that need separate amplifier channels for low- and high-frequency drivers.

The module includes two 125 W NCORE® Class D amplifier channels along with onboard DSP. Signal processing is set up through Hypex Filter Design software, giving users the ability to adjust filters, levels, and other system parameters for two-way active loudspeaker designs.

The FA122 offers a variety of analog and digital input options, including balanced analog XLR input with loop through, unbalanced analog RCA input, digital AES input with loop through, digital S/PDIF input with loop through, and optical Toslink input. This makes it easy to integrate with a broad range of analog and digital audio sources.

Optional accessories such as the Fusion Remote Kit or Fusion OLED Display are available for remote operation and system feedback.

Multiple Fusion Amp modules can also be arranged in a master-slave configuration to create multi-channel active loudspeaker systems. The FA122 is intended for applications that call for a compact combination of amplification and DSP in a two-way active loudspeaker design.

2-Way Active Loudspeaker

A 2-way speaker is a loudspeaker that has only two drivers, which are a tweeter and a woofer. The woofer covers all frequencies lower than the tweeter. The human ear is more sensitive to mid frequencies, that’s why a speaker system should have at least two types of drivers: one mid-range and the other high-frequency, or tweeter.

3-Way Active Loudspeaker
