The grey poly cone and inverted dustcap give the driver a clean, modern appearance that looks as good as it performs, making it a great choice for both visible installations and custom speaker projects. The PCS115-4 is also a direct replacement woofer for the Dayton Audio B40 bookshelf speaker, making it ideal for restoring original performance in damaged or aging systems.

The suspension system includes a large diameter flat spider that keeps the moving assembly centered for improved stability and predictable excursion. A two-layer voice coil wound on an aluminum former improves thermal stability while helping dissipate heat during extended playback. Under-spider venting promotes airflow through the motor structure, reducing compression and allowing the driver to maintain consistent performance when driven harder.

With a rigid stamped steel frame with a low-profile lip suitable for surface mounting, the PCS115-4 is easy to install in compact enclosures.
