Dayton Audio TD24F-4 1" Soft Dome Neodymium Tweeter 4 Ohm

Designed for modern compact speaker systems, the TD24F-4 combines a lightweight 1" silk dome diaphragm with a powerful neodymium motor to produce clear and natural high-frequency output. Soft dome tweeters are known for their excellent damping characteristics, which help reproduce high frequencies with smooth detail and minimal listening fatigue. This makes the TD24F-4 well suited for both music and home theater applications where accurate treble reproduction is essential. The TD24F-4 is also the tweeter used in Dayton Audio Classic Collection speakers, including the B40, B65, C40, and T65, making it a direct drop-in replacement for restoring original high-frequency performance in these models.

To improve durability and performance under demanding conditions, the voice coil gap is filled with ferrofluid. This fluid helps transfer heat away from the voice coil while providing additional mechanical damping, improving power handling and reducing distortion during dynamic playback. The result is a tweeter capable of maintaining clean, stable output even when driven at higher levels.

The optimized dome profile and motor structure provide a flat frequency response and wide off-axis dispersion, allowing the tweeter to blend naturally with midwoofers in compact two-way speaker designs. This wide dispersion also helps maintain consistent sound throughout the listening area, making the TD24F-4 suitable for nearfield monitors, small bookshelf speakers, and multi-driver systems.

A neodymium magnet motor dramatically reduces the overall size of the tweeter compared with traditional ferrite designs. Combined with the extremely shallow mounting depth of less than 1/2", the TD24F-4 can be installed in locations where conventional tweeters simply will not fit. This makes it an excellent choice for soundbars, slim speaker systems, automotive installations, and custom speaker designs where space is limited but high-quality treble reproduction is still required.
