The WF152BD10 is a midrange driver featuring a newly developed cone made from interwoven Kevlar and carbon fibers, offering a class-leading combination of low mass, rigidity, and internal damping—ideal for accurate and detailed midrange reproduction. Its Balanced Drive motor structure delivers symmetrical magnetic force for significantly reduced even-order harmonic distortion, while a vented, inverted center dome lowers compression during high-output operation. The center pole is capped with copper to reduce voice coil inductance and stabilize its behavior across excursion, contributing to a smoother, more linear response. A rigid die-cast aluminum chassis with extensive venting controls air flow velocity to limit turbulence-related distortion, and a 1.25" voice coil wound on a black fiberglass former helps improve dynamic performance by reducing mechanical losses. Additional enhancements include an integrated aluminum field-stabilizing ring for low distortion at high SPL, a high-Qm suspension system for refined detail and transient response, and black-coated motor parts that aid heat dissipation. The Conex spider ensures long-lasting mechanical durability under demanding conditions, while gold-plated terminals provide a corrosion-resistant, reliable electrical connection over time.
