Overview
PRV Audio 10MR650A-NDY Alto Series 10" Shallow Midrange Speaker 8 Ohm
The 10MR650A-NDY is a compact 10″ shallow midrange driver engineered for exceptional performance in tight spaces. Its rare-earth neodymium motor packs impressive strength, providing precise control over the voice coil and delivering an industry-leading size-to-output ratio. As the refined version of the 10MR650A, it stands out as a powerful addition to the ALTO Series lineup.
There’s no question that the 10MR650A-NDY secures its place as one of the strongest performers in this series.
- 650 Watts RMS program power rating delivers very high acoustical output with 99 dB sensitivity for powerful performance
- Compact 4″ mounting depth makes it perfect for tight applications without compromising sound quality
- Frequency response of 70 to 6,500 Hz provides strong midrange with extended low midbass capability
- Vented pole piece and gap improve cooling by dissipating excess heat to reduce power compression
- Wide vocal coverage allows simple system integration when paired with a tweeter
- Premium slim-profile neodymium motor makes it the ideal lightweight 10″ door speaker for custom installations with minimal space
This loudspeaker delivers everything needed for a pro audio solution in custom door panels, all within a compact footprint. With an overall mounting depth of just 4″, or only 2.60″ when measuring the basket alone, its small motor design makes it easy to fit inside vehicle doors without sacrificing performance.
By keeping the motor slim, this driver enables the creation of custom shallow door panels that still house a high-performance loudspeaker, eliminating the need to cut away large portions of the door. It is an easy-to-install 10″ shallow speaker that requires minimal space, thanks to its premium neodymium motor.
Weighing only 5.73 lbs, the lightweight design reduces stress on custom doors and prevents potential damage caused by heavier door panels, while still delivering outstanding sound performance.

2 Speakers – 1x MDX2000.2 at 2 Ohm, 2 speakers in parallel on the bridged channel
4 Speakers – 1x QS3000 at 2 Ohm, 4 speakers in parallel
8 Speakers – 1x QS5000 at 1 Ohm, 8 speakers in parallel
Recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP when using up to 650 Watts RMS musical power ( without clipping )
- 110 Hz at 12 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT12
- 100 Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18
If you have compression drivers on your system the recommended LPF is 2,200Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18 but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system, or you may not use a LPF at low power to take advantage of its high frequency response.

*Nominal power handling is defined as the maximum RMS power that the speaker can handle in a 2-hour test with a pink noise with 6dB of crest factor and a bandpass filter with 12db/oct tuned in its usable frequency range.
**Continuous Program Power (RMS) is the maximum power that the speaker can handle considering a regular musical program using our recommended filters, this power can be used to define the optimum amplifier power to provide a clean signal without clipping or saturation.
***Max Peak Power is the maximum power operation for the speaker, this power is allowed just for a few fractions of a second, usually found just on the peaks of the music. Keeping this power for a little longer timer will damage the speaker.
