LaVoce SAN184.50 18" Professional Neodymium Subwoofer Driver 8 Ohm

Capable of powerful bass output with low distortion the SAN184.50 18" professional subwoofer from LaVoce is ideal for any high SPL speaker system. The powerful neodymium motor gives this driver incredible efficiency while weighing only 29.8 lbs. A massive 4.5" voice coil is wound on a heat resistant fiberglass former to handle up to 3,400 watts peak power. To keep compression to a minimum under high stress situations, the frame and motor include multiple vents for ample air flow across the coil to dissipate any excess heat. For inductance control the motor assembly includes an aluminum shorting sleeve allowing for very low distortion output. Two large diameter spiders and an optimized accordion surround keep the rigid paper cone linear up to the limits of the 24 mm peak to peak excursion and beyond. Holding everything together is a heavy duty cast aluminum frame that is designed to take the beating that is expected in the touring sound environment. All of this extreme construction makes the SAN184.50 18" subwoofer perfect for use in incredibly powerful designs that won't break your back.
