Dayton Audio CF50N-4 2" Carbon Fiber Dome Midrange 4 Ohm

The Dayton Audio CF50N-4 combines a 2” carbon fiber dome with a high-energy neodymium motor to deliver accurate midrange response from an incredibly compact package. The lightweight but rigid diaphragm has been optimized for wide dispersion and controlled response throughout the pass band. A rubber surround keeps the dome centered while damping the edge of the diaphragm to keep any unwanted resonances well outside of the pass band. Finally, the cast aluminum faceplate has been designed to reduce diffraction and keep the off-axis response consistent and predictable. Offering low distortion with smooth response from 500 to 6,000 Hz, this midrange is perfect for small 3-way designs and car audio installations.

A powerful neodymium motor keeps the CF50N-4 under 4” diameter without sacrificing efficiency or output capability. With a 2” diameter vented aluminum former, the voice coil can efficiently dissipate excess heat for high power handling without suffering from significant power compression. The damped rear chamber keeps the midrange isolated for easy installation while minimizing internal reflections resulting in smoother response. Finally, the cast aluminum faceplate includes an integrated grill to protect the fragile dome from damage.

Combining advanced materials and technology, the flexible CF50N-4 from Dayton Audio delivers excellent midrange reproduction without taking up much space.
