The WF211PA01 is a high-performance driver built around a Balanced Drive motor structure that delivers symmetrical magnetic force, significantly reducing even-order harmonic distortion. An aluminum shorting ring is positioned both above and below the air gap on the center pole, effectively lowering voice coil inductance, stabilizing its behavior across coil excursion, and reducing flux modulation caused by coil current. These refinements work together to minimize large-signal distortion for cleaner, more accurate output. The large motor includes a 2.5” diameter voice coil for improved control and increased power handling, while the cone is formed from a lightweight yet rigid paper blend that promotes high efficiency and natural, uncolored sound. 

A rigid die-cast aluminum chassis with extensive venting helps manage airflow and reduce turbulence-related distortion. The vented voice coil former and dual-flared center pole reduce compression and mechanical noise during high-excursion operation. A black fiberglass voice coil former minimizes mechanical losses for better dynamic response and low-level detail, while the low-loss suspension, featuring a high mechanical Q, supports accurate transient reproduction. Black-plated motor parts are used to improve heat transfer, and the Conex spider provides long-term mechanical stability even under extreme conditions.
