The AM150 uses a Class-D amplifier to provide 150 watts of power to the 5" full-range speaker for loud and clear sound quality, while keeping overall weight to a minimum - only about 6 pounds. Three input channels with a built-in mixer makes the AM150 more than just a simple monitor. Channel 1 can be optimized at the press of a button for instrument input with no DI box required. Channels 1 and 2 both feature high-quality mic preamps, both will accept mic or line level signals, XLR or 1/4" balanced or unbalanced, and both can provide phantom power for condenser mics. Channel 3 accepts L/R RCA inputs or 3.5 mm stereo input so you can play background music for your presentation or breaks between sets. Word.
Multiple AM150s can be linked together as well, using the MAIN IN and THRU XLR jacks on the back of the cabinet. This allows AM150s to be daisy-chained, so you can use one as a monitor, then add more AM150s as main PA speakers for small rooms, speaking engagements, singer/songwriter coffeehouse gigs, and the like.
Another great feature of the AM150 is the Echo (delay) effect which can be applied to channel 2 only, or to channels 1 and 2. Add some pizazz to your karaoke performance, just a little, or a lot - and once again - without more gear to schlep!
The small size and light weight of the AM150 allows it to go where conventional monitors simply cannot. Like, on your mic stand! An extension rod is included, so you can mount a standard mic boom to the top of the AM150, and have one less stand to worry about. If you do need a great stand, see Related Products below. NOTE: The AM150 will slip right on to many standard straight mic stands (you may need to remove the jamb nut if your stand has one). It includes a pole mount with a 3/8"-16 threaded insert for Euro-style stands. To use the pole mount with a US-style 5/8"-27 stand, pick up our part number 233-039, the Talent MSA2 thread adapter.
