The PRV 12MB2000FT delivers an excellent linear response with controlled output down to 80 Hz, making it a strong choice for two-way cabinet systems that demand high BL motor strength and impactful midbass performance.

It is a notable addition to the Forte Series, where increased power handling and reduced distortion in the mid and low-mid bass range are key design goals.

Its strong midbass output remains tightly controlled to 80 Hz due to its high Xmax, making it well suited for ported PA cabinets that require solid BL force and midbass punch, as well as ported stuntwall enclosures used in car audio applications.

Featuring a paper cone made from a specially formulated high strength paper pulp designed to deliver maximum linearity throughout the midrange frequencies. It also incorporates a dedicated cone treatment that enhances the damping characteristics of the moving assembly, resulting in improved vocal reproduction.

This midbass is built to withstand years of demanding professional use.

A double roll surround maintains linear cone motion at high excursion, delivering excellent vocal clarity and detail while producing a powerful, dynamic midbass response.

The specially engineered rigid cast aluminum frame includes side forced cooling openings that promote airflow to help cool the voice coil.

Its large ferrite motor provides ample room for the tall voice coil to move at high excursion, allowing the cone to reach approximately 1.50″ peak-to-peak travel for powerful, hard-hitting output.

Thanks to its silicone spider, this speaker is able to handle high excursion signals without sacrificing sound quality. This allows it to produce strong low frequency output while preserving vocal clarity and definition.

The suspension system provides excellent control during large excursions and can withstand short bursts of extreme power without damage, carrying over proven technology from previous models.

Recommended Amplifier configurations and crossover points:

2 Speakers – 1x QS5000 at 2 Ohm, 2 speakers in parallel
4 Speakers – 1x QS7000 at 2 Ohm, 4 speakers in parallel
8 Speakers – 1x QS16000 at 1 Ohm, 8 speakers in parallel

Recommended HPF using PRV Digital Signal Processor DSP when using up to 2000 Watts RMS musical power ( without clipping )

If you have compression drivers on your system the recommended LPF is 1,800Hz at 18 dB per octave filter Crossover / BT18 but you may set it lower to blend in better depending on the other components in your system.
