Jantzen Audio C-Coil Toroidal Core Inductors

Product Features

The unique properties of the C-Coils make them the ultimate inductors for the bass section on crossovers designs, where a large power handling and extremely low resistance is desirable. 

The coil features a toroidal core and using shrink foil to reduce microphonic effect. 

Due to the electromagnetic properties of the toroidal cores, Jantzen generally only recommends them for the bass section of crossovers, but in certain crossover designs they may also be used for lower midrange. 

If the C-Coil is used for a crossover position crossed above 1.2 kHz, it is likely that there will be an unwanted distortion (hum). 

It can be driver, crossover design / filter order dependent, but Jantzen generally advises to test C-Coils by doing real life listening test, before using them for mass production of speaker systems.

C-Coils should under no circumstances be used for tweeter or upper midrange positions on crossovers. 

All C-Coils are control measured on a professional LCR bridge before they are shipped.
