The 8HX240 combines both an 8″ (200 mm) low-frequency driver section and a high-frequency compression section into a single coaxial unit, making it ideal for compact cabinet designs that demand full-band coverage. The LF section offers a strong 250 W AES power rating with a sensitivity of 94 dB, while the HF section delivers 107 dB sensitivity and handles 30 W AES to cover the upper band with clarity. A 2.56″ (65 mm) LF voice coil and a 1.46″ (37 mm) HF voice coil help ensure thermal stability and efficient output. With a frequency range of 70 Hz to 4,000 Hz on the LF band and 1,200 Hz to 20,000 Hz on the HF band, system designers gain a versatile driver in a compact form. The mechanical footprint is optimized for install use, featuring an overall diameter of 8.81″/8.18″ (223.75 mm/207.9 mm) and a depth of just 4.94″ (125.5 mm). The 100° dispersion angle of the HF section delivers broad high-frequency coverage without requiring large horn structures.
