This lower rating may be more appropriate for smaller jobs.  The D40T uses a phenolic-impregnated cloth diaphragm for crisp, articulate sound. The Dayton Audio DA40T has a response that lends itself well for paging and PA use due to its efficiency in the frequency range of human voices and midrange detail of stringed instruments. The impedance curve of the DA40T is easily manageable for verstile, simple system designing!

 

Integrated 70V Transformer

 

The Dayton Audio D40T is ready to install anywhere! With its' built-in 70V transformer, selectable taps allow you to customize the output of each speaker to suite a multitude of locations and circumstances. Use the higher rated taps for tall vaulted ceilings or anywhere you need high SPL requirements, the lower rated taps are available for use with setups that have lower SPL requirements such as walking paths or information booths!
