Back in the late ’60s, the G12H came about by fitting an ‘H’ type heavy magnet onto the body of a G12M guitar speaker. The result was a speaker with greater power handling and a different tonal balance, with firmer bass and a more pronounced top end. That same approach led to adding an ‘H’ magnet to the G12M-65 Creamback, creating a guitar speaker that blends the sonic character of a G12H with the higher power handling of the Creamback. The outcome is the G12H-75 Creamback. It handles 75 watts with ease and delivers unmistakable G12H tone, along with a tighter low end than the G12M-65 Creamback and a punchier, more dynamic top end. The H magnet adds extra focus, body, and fullness to the Creamback voice. It gives single notes more thickness, resulting in a highly articulate and vocal character. These added qualities make the G12H-75 Creamback an outstanding choice for lead guitar, and it sounds huge when loaded into a 4×12 cabinet.
