Terms and Conditions

For over 35 years, Parts Express has delivered a broad product selection –in stock, and ready to ship when you need it. Every member of the Parts Express team works with your satisfaction in mind. In order to make your shopping experience on our site easy and enjoyable, we have outlined specific terms and conditions below. All prices are listed in USD currency and payable in U.S. dollars only.
All quantity price breaks apply per individual part number only. Sorry, no mixing of parts for lower prices.
Due to market fluctuation and the possibility of errors, Parts Express is not obligated to honor inaccurate pricing. To confirm pricing, please contact us.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates may be purchased and redeemed at checkout via PayPal and are available in a variety of increments.

Payment Methods

  • Credit Card –MasterCard, Visa, Discover, and American Express are available to customers within the United States and Canada.
  • Open Account –Upon approval, open account status is granted to public schools, hospitals, and government agencies with a hardcopy purchase order. Other applicants please click here to download and print credit application. Open account terms are Net 30 days from invoice date. Parts Express reserves the right to charge interest at a rate of 1.5% per month or the maximum rate allowed by law on all balances not paid within the above stated Parts Express reserves the right to charge interest. A minimum of $1,000 credit line is required.
  • PayPal –If you choose the PayPal option and do not have a PayPal account, you may register at http://www.paypal.com and then submit your payment to payments@parts-express.com. Once we receive confirmation of deposit from PayPal, your order will ship and a confirmation of shipment emailed. PayPal terms are available only to registered and verified PayPal buyers. Order must ship to bill-to address on file with PayPal.

Sales Tax

We are required by law to collect state sales tax in the US. Customers who submit a valid sales tax exemption certificate will be exempt from sales tax where applicable. Fax your tax exemption form to 937-743-1677 or email accounting@parts-express.com.

Back Orders

We make every attempt to have all products on the shelf and ready to ship. Orders submitted via the internet are downloaded within minutes to allocate inventory for you. In the event of out of stock items:

U.S. – When you order an item for which we do not have available stock, we will ship any in-stock parts and backorder the remaining items. Multiple backordered items will ship together. There are no additional shipping charges for backorders.

We select the carrier for backorder shipments and your shipment may be delivered by the postal service.

International – We will ship all available parts and cancel out of stock items.

Special Orders

We are happy to special order items available through our manufacturers. Our special order minimum requirement is $100 per item. Special orders are non-cancelable/non-returnable/non-refundable and may require pre-payment. Contact us using our contact page or call 1-800-338-0531.

Order Changes/Cancellations

While we are unable to edit orders submitted to us, please contact us using our contact page or 1-800-338-0531 to check the status of your order. If your order is pending fulfillment, we can void the order to allow you to place a new order with your changes.

Please note PayPal does not permit us to make any changes to a shipping address once the order has been submitted to us.

If your order has invoiced (shipped), you may refuse the shipment. We will process a merchandise refund once the refused shipment arrives to our facility. Shipping charges are not refundable.

Ship-to Address Changes

The following UPS Package Interception services are available (but not guaranteed) for orders with "Shipped" status.

  • Redirect/Change ship-to address – Contact us or call 1-800-338-0531 to request a redirect quote. There is a fee of $18.00 per box, and additional transportation charges may apply. To protect against theft of your shipment, UPS will accept redirect instructions only from Parts Express.
  • Reschedule delivery date – You may contact your local UPS facility or sign in to your UPS My Choice account to provide instructions. No fee.
  • Will Call – Hold package at UPS hub for customer pick-up. No fee. Contact us or call 1-800-338-0531.
  • Return to sender (Parts Express) – Return shipping charges billed to us by the carrier for the returned package are deducted from the merchandise refund.

Shipping

We ship orders Monday through Friday from our warehouse in Springboro, Ohio. Most orders ship the same day when received before 4:00 PM ET.

Domestic – Please see our shipping practices and rates at www.parts-express.com/shipping. Note that when Free Economy is selected, Parts Express selects the carrier (USPS, UPS Mail Innovations, or UPS) depending on weight, value, and destination with 3-7 business day delivery. If you wish to guarantee a faster service, you may upgrade to UPS Ground for $8.95. UPS Air options area also available at which time chart rate shipping charges are applicable.

International – We are happy to ship to most international destinations. Just sign in to your Parts Express online account (or create a new one), add your items to the cart and select ‘Begin Secure Checkout’ to see payment and shipping options and estimated delivery times available to your country. Countries or carriers not displayed as an option at checkout are currently not available.

Import Fees:

  • UPS rates shown at checkout represent freight charges only. Duty/taxes or other import fees imposed by the receiving country and/or UPS may be required at the time of delivery. Broker fees are waived for UPS Worldwide Expedited and UPS Worldwide Saver. UPS Broker fees apply to UPS Standard to Canada. Contact your local Customs Bureau and UPS office for regulations and expected fees in your country.
  • USPS rates shown at checkout include freight charges only. Tax or other import fees imposed by the receiving country may be required at the time of delivery.

To comply with Federal Regulations, products containing lithium, flammable substances, chemicals, and other canned materials must ship via Ground Service and are restricted to U.S. destinations only.

Unclaimed/refused orders are abandoned and are seized by the carrier. Such orders are non-refundable.

Order Confirmations

Within moments of placing your phone or internet order, we will email you a notification confirming receipt of your order. When the order ships, we will email again with your tracking number and order details.

Every shipment contains a Picking Sheet (also known as a PackingSlip) itemizing the part #’s and quantities shipped or backordered.

Orders placed online while signed in to your Parts Express account and orders placed via phone are viewable in your online account.

Order Tracking

You may track your order on our site or elect to visit the carrier’s website. Please allow up to 24 hours after the shipment for UPS tracking information to be available (48 hours for orders delivered by USPS or Mail Innovations).

Returns

If for any reason you decide the part you purchased does not suit your application or just isn’t for you, simply return it to us in new, pristine condition within 60 days of the purchase date and we will promptly issue you a refund, less return shipping charges.

Merchandise Returns Terms and Conditions

If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase or simply change your mind, feel free to return it within 60 days of the invoice datein new, pristine condition for a full merchandise refund. Simply email or call us to request a Return Authorization number.

*Please note: custom cut cable/wire, carpet, grill cloth, and tubing samples are available upon request in order to evaluate for proper application. Shippingcharges apply.

Please pack your return securely and insure thru the carrier of your choice. Customer pays return shipping fees except for the following for which we will provide a prepaid return label.

  • Defective parts – Some manufacturers handle their own warranty. Please review the warranty on the product detail page at www.parts-express.com.
  • Damaged parts – Please inspect your shipment upon receipt and report any damage to uswithin 30 days. We will replace your parts immediately and file a damage claim with the carrier. (Sorry, we cannot file damage claims after30days).Email images displaying product damage, manufacturer box, outer shipping carton, and shipping label to customerservice@parts-express.com. We will file a Damage Inspection Claim which results in a carrier follow-up to inspect your package. The carrier requires recipient to retain all boxes, labels, and packing materials until the claim hasbeen approved.
  • Overage of quantities.
  • Incorrect item shipped.

How to Make a Return

You may initiate your return via your Parts Express online account. See Account Overview/Purchase History. Click on the applicable order to display details and select “Return”. Or, contact us using our contact page.

Most returns are processed in1-2 business days.Please note some returns may require extended processing days for technical evaluation,peak times, etc.

Non-returnable Products

  • Assembled Kits – Our 60-day return policy applies to unassembled kits. Once assembly has been started or completed, kits are deemed used and are non-returnable for refund/exchange. See Auditioning Your Speakers below. This does not limit the manufacturer's warranty policies on any kit component. The various parts of a kit may come from different manufacturers, and may have differing warranty periods and conditions.
  • Books / CDs / Software (once seal is broken)
  • Custom-cut cable / wire, carpet, grill cloth, and tubing(samples are available upon request in order to evaluate for proper application. Shipping charges apply)
  • Special order items/quantities
  • Products with visible signs of use such as mounting marks, scratches, solder, sealing caulk, dirt, sawdust or other debris/residue, extreme odors such as cigarette smoke
  • Speakers with a burned voice coil are not returnable for exchange, repair, refund, or credit, as this is not covered by its warranty. No exceptions. Distinct burn odor and/or discolored/black spider around base of cone are characteristicof a burned voice coil. While we do not accept returns of speakers with burned voice coils, they may be returned, postage prepaid, for evaluation. Contact us to obtain a Return Authorization (RA#). We will return at the customer’s expense or destroy/discard after 60 days.

When an exact replacement is no longer available for your defective unit, we will make every attempt to provide an alternate solution. If we are unable to do so, we will provide a pro-rated refund (based on purchase date, price, and warranty duration.)

Auditioning Your Speakers

Each speaker order includes the following instructions: To "audition" a speaker without scratching or marking it will require getting into the speaker cabinet and listening to it play without actually mounting it with screws. This can be done by tilting the cabinet back and setting the speaker in place. If the cabinet has bare wire leads, just wrap them around the solder lug connector on the back of the speaker to make the electrical connections. A friend can help hold the speaker in place while you listen to the new speaker. This is, of course, not an optimal way to listen to a speaker, but will give you the opportunity to identify major response problems or poor tonal characteristics prior to mounting.

Warranty – Defective Merchandise

  • Limited Warranty – All new products, unless otherwise warranted in their description, are warranted only to be free of defects in material and workmanship for ninety (90) days from date of shipment. No purchase order or verbal advice shall alter this. Warranties are shown on each product detail page.
  • Disclaimer – There are no other express warranties. To the extent that warranties may be implied by operation of law, their duration is limited to the same length of the foregoing limited warranty.

    WE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGE DUE TO DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS OR IMPROPER USE OF PRODUCTS.


  • Remedy – We will at our election, and subject to availability, either replace, repair, or exchange any product we have sold with a defect in materials or workmanship, or issue a full or pro-rated refund/store credit for the purchase price plus applicable tax, providing you return such product to us, properly packaged and shipping prepaid, with a copy of your invoice and an explanation of the defect. The foregoing shall be the exclusive remedy for defective or nonconforming merchandise.

Some products are warranted thru the manufacturer and may require return shipment, postage paid, directly to the manufacturer. See detailed warranty instructions for each product on the product page atour website. If the product is returned to Parts Express, contact our Technical Support Team at 800-338-0531 to obtain a required RA#.

All defective returns are evaluated upon receipt. We do not refund products deemed defective as a result of mishandling or misuse.
