Advanced Active Servo Technology
The Advanced Active Servo Technology on the YST-SW215 provides strong and accurate bass by applying a complementary amplifier/speaker system that uses negative impedance feedback in the amp and a Helmholtz resonator in the speaker.
High Amplifier Output and 8" Driver
High amplifier output guarantees ample power to deliver astounding movie theater-like bass effects, and the down firing 8-inch driver turns that power into clear bass sound. The YST-SW215 has a frequency range of 30-200 Hz.
BASS Selector
Yamaha's BASS (Bass Action Selector Switch) adapts the sub's output for video or music applications at the flick of a switch.
QD-Bass Technology
The QD-Bass technology by Yamaha uses a down firing driver to diffuse the bass output efficiently, and transmit the sound in all directions for larger impact.
Continuously Variable High-cut Filter
A continuously adjustable high-cut filter on the YST-SW215 allows you to set the subwoofer's frequency anywhere better 50 and 150 Hz, enabling the sub's output to be perfectly matched to the other speakers in your system for a seamless presentation.
Volume Control and Phase Switch
Perfectly match the sub's output level to the overall volume of your system with the innovative volume control knob on the YST-SW215. The phase normal/reverse switch makes it easy to phase the subwoofer with the other speakers in your system.
Magnetically shielding subwoofer
The subwoofer is magnetically shielded so it can be placed near a TV monitor or receiver without worrying about diminishing the picture.
On/Off Signal Sensing
A signal sensing circuit on the YST-SW215 will detect an audio signal, automatically turning the subwoofer on, and automatically shutting it off during long periods with no audio signal.
Dual Subwoofer Inputs
The versatile subwoofer has two sets of inputs that will accept either line level or speaker level signals.
Heavy-duty Speaker Terminals
Yamaha's innovative speaker terminals are compatible with banana plugs, speaker wire, and a variety of other connectors.
