Overview
With files like photos, high-resolution music, and high-definition video getting larger it takes longer to move the data from one device to another. High-definition video that used to take upwards of 10 minutes to transfer now takes less than 1 minute using USB 3.0.
The USB A-male to A-male cable is primarily used for portable and stationary storage devices, router connections, scanners and printers, and USB hubs. The remarkable high-speed capability of USB 3.0 is derived from the use of two data pairs providing bidirectional communication between a host and peripheral device. Power management features limit the power transferred from a PC to a peripheral device while the PC is off, while providing up to 900 mA of current capacity for attached power hungry devices.
