Overview
The Tang Band W3-881SJF is an exceptional 3" transducer that features a PPM cone, Santoprene surround, cast aluminum frame, and powerful underhung-design ceramic motor. Its copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil is wound on a polyimide former, the combination of which provides high power handling and extended HF response. The W3-881SJF is an ideal choice for single driver full-range applications, as well as deployment in multiple speaker configurations such as line arrays.

Q&A
Best Answer: Yes although a vented box is recommended. With internal dimensions of 4.5" x 4.5" x 5" and a port that is 1" diameter and 3 long you can expect a tuning frequency of 99 hz.
Best Answer: The recommended volume for a pair of these is 0.11 cubic feet with a 1" diameter, 1.5 long port.
Best Answer: A volume of 0.1 cubic feet will work well. I would recommend a port that is 1" in diameter and 1-1/4" long for a tuning frequency of 100 Hz.
Best Answer: Answering my own question. I have a pair of these that i purchased and installed in my vehicle. They are in the dash off axis 90 and up close to the glass. I ran some sweeps and found that they play very well from 388 to 6088 even in this less than optimal location.
Best Answer: I would recommend 0.13 cubic feet for both with a single 1" diameter, 1.25" long port for a tuning frequency of 96 Hz.
Best Answer: Sold individually.
Best Answer: Santoprene is a type of rubber compound that is more resilient to the elements and will last longer than other types of rubber surrounds, such as Butyl rubber or foam.
Also have other people problems with low frequency on this speaker???
Best Answer: I use these drivers in small ported (base-reflex) enclosures for the top-end with a 100Hz crossover and 12" sub. I've found that they do very well in this configuration and produce surprisingly high distortion-free SPLs. While doing testing with these drivers in my enclosures without a sub, I discovered their distortion-free SPL peak drops off very quickly below 100Hz. You may be able to push them further down with a bass-tuned enclosure if you're knowledgeable about enclosure design.
Best Answer: Just the two 3-inchers and two passive radiators????
If so, no bottom end. I wouldn't push more than about 8-10 watts through these drivers, each. Though, they are very flat & wide band. I don't cut them in before 400 or 500 Hertz 2nd or 3rd order. So you'd need something to cover the bottom octave and a half. 30-500 Hz.
Best Answer: I usually use self tapping No. 6 or No. 8 screws to mount small units such as this, but what you need will also depend on the nature of the mounting board.
