The TEAC AI-101DA employs a USB audio input to process high-resolution audio up to 192 kHz/ 24-bit sampling rate using the onboard PCM1796 Burr-Brown DAC. HR Loudness for Massive Sound Performance
The AI-101DA's Class D power amplifier stage delivers 2 x 26W of output from an aluminum-clad package roughly the size of a paperback book. When the HR Loudness (a DSP-based bass enhancement technology) is active, the amp produces a stunning bass enhancement signal designed to intensify low frequency output for smaller speakers. HR Loudness is effective for analog line-in applications as well, by converting to a hi-resolution 96 kHz/24-bit digital audio signal. No cooling fan is needed for the highly efficient Class D amp, resulting in tranquility and zero background noise interference.
Five Audio Inputs in a Compact Aluminum Housing
Designed specifically for audio streaming from a computer or smartphone, the AI-101DA has a USB audio input and Bluetooth connection. However, it also incorporates a pair of digital optical audio inputs and conventional analog audio input by way of a 3.5 mm jack. The AI-101DA's compact body made of aluminum enables convertible layout, horizontal or vertical, while TEAC's iconic side guard bars give it a professional finish.
Also included in this versatile amplifier DAC is a 2 x 100 mW headphone amp capable of driving a wide range of headphones, including high impedance models.
Auto Power Saving
The AI-101DA provides a simple and smart way of power-on/off when watching TV. Thanks to its Auto Power Saving function, the AI-101DA turns itself on when incoming digital audio signal is detected and turns off automatically when incoming digital audio signal is inactive for 3 minutes. You can connect a TV, PC, or receiver with the digital optical digital output to enjoy simplified and smart operations. The Auto power saving function can be engaged or disabled depending on user preference. When it is disabled, the amplifier still switches automatically to standby mode if left without any activity for 30 minutes.
