Overview
This anti-vandal pushbutton switch is popular for use in kiosk applications, ticket dispensers and industrial-type applications. The stainless steel body and button stay looking great even with heavy duty use. The switch has an IP67 waterproof rating for extreme conditions indoors or outdoors when used with included rubber washer. This switch has a built-in 120V red light for locating in low lit areas and connection identification.
Wire these switches up normally closed or normally open. SPDT momentary switches have options on/on, off/on or on/off. If you want the main device to be on, while a standby device is off, wire the incoming wire to the common connection on the bottom of the switch and the main device to the top terminal. Wire the standby device to the middle terminal and push the button for the standby device to be connected and it disconnects the main device. Let go of the button and the standby device disconnects and the main device is reconnected. The other option is to connect one device to the switch. It is always on, or always off until you push the button to momentarily disconnect or connect.
