Overview
The versatile SMSL SD-793II can be used for near-field applications when connected to an amplifier and speakers, or used directly with the built-in headphone amplifier. Connect to any digital audio signal with either the optical or coaxial inputs and select between them with the source selection button on the front panel. Hook up an amplifier to the stereo RCA jacks on the rear panel to enjoy pristine and accurate music.
The DAC portion of the SD-793II is made up the following parts: DIR9001 + PCM1793 + OPA2134. This electronic circuit allows for digital conversions up to 96 kHz/24-bit sample rates and offers low distortion, low-jitter output. Besides the primary structure, the electronic circuitry is made up of components by other top manufacturers like WIMA, Nichicon, and ELNA.
You'll find easy to use controls on the front panel like an on/off button, source selection button, and volume knob. Also located on the front panel is the 1/4" headphone amp jack. On the rear panel are the digital inputs and stereo RCA line level output jacks. The SD-793II includes a 9 VDC, 1300 mA power supply.
