Most cordless soldering irons take too long to heat up or aren't able to get hot enough to weld together medium gage wires. This 30W cordless iron works as well as any 30W corded soldering iron and heats up in less than 30 seconds. To quickly heat up the iron slide the power switch to ON and hold down the red safety button. You're able to solder continuously for 45 minutes, while only taking 3.5 hours to recharge. The iron will start cooling off when you release the red button. Use the included micro-USB cable to charge by plugging it in to any powered USB port. The red light indicates that it's charging and turns green when charging is finished. Built-in protection circuit for over/under charge, short circuit, and ESD for peace of mind and safe soldering. The soldering iron works while charging, but it extends the charge time. The kit includes a standard and chisel soldering tip for handling almost any soldering job.

This cordless soldering kit also includes a heat shrink tip and heat shrink tubing enabling you to complete the job with a professional finish. The kit includes multiple size and color heat shrink tubing to complete your splicing and other soldering tasks. When you're ready to heat shrink, slightly twist the clear plastic ring and pull off the soldering tip, similar to how you change a bayonet light bulb or BNC connector. Make sure the soldering tip has cooled off and install the heat shrink element with metal shield. The heat shrink tip has a built-in heat element to quickly shrink the tubing. The included metal deflector helps concentrate all the heat to the top and sides of the tubing enabling it shrink more evenly around your solder job for a protective finish. Replacement and additional tips are sold separately including a hot knife tip for cutting braided sleeving for wires and other types of material.
