Many small 5 VDC powered amplifier boards have a micro USB power port. Sometimes it's hard to mount the board so you have access to the port. With this micro USB extension you're able to mount the amp board deep inside the project and then make a two small holes in the enclosure 17mm apart to securely mount the female port with the included screws. Make a hole for the female micro USB that's 4.54 x 9 x 2.5 mm. This way you are able to plug and unplug externally without having to take the top off your project.
