PRV Audio’s ALTO Series is thoughtfully designed and voiced to deliver natural, smooth sound with dynamic character. A special composite cone is used to achieve superior fidelity by smoothing the frequency response and maintaining a low moving mass, which boosts efficiency.

New features on the 8MR450A give it high output capability with low distortion, making this midrange ideal for delivering critical midrange frequencies in any high-output sound system. A great addition to the Alto Series!

The new 8MR450A from the ALTO Series offers everything you look for in a midrange pro audio loudspeaker, featuring a compact and versatile design with just 3.21” of mounting depth without sacrificing performance.

Its 38 mm (1.5 in) copper-clad aluminum wire is wound in a double layer with high-temperature resin adhesive on a durable, ventilated glass fiber former. A copper sleeve on the pole piece further reduces inductance to enhance high frequency response.

A triple roll cloth surround paired with an optimized fiber-pressed paper cone provides smooth and extended frequency response.

This professional midrange speaker is designed to handle 100 Hz to 6,000 Hz in three-way systems, but also performs well as a door speaker in car audio setups and as a woofer in two-way satellite speaker designs.
