PRV Audio 5MR450-NDY-4 5" Midrange Neodymium Woofer 4 Ohm

The 5MR450-NDY-4, from PRV Audio, is built from the ground up to be a class-leading 5" midrange for pro audio, high output car audio, and high fidelity home audio applications. Its high-powered neodymium radial slugs immerse the voice coil in a strong magnetic field, providing extreme control and high senstivity.

Not only does the unique motor design keep the mounting depth at less than 3" (great for car doors), it also reduces distortion. Additionally, the pole piece includes a copper copper sleeve which reduces inductance to improve high frequency response. With a usable, extended frequency response from 160 to 16,000 Hz, this midwoofer also works great as a high output, full range satellite speaker.

A bumped backplate, vented pole piece, vented magnet assembly, Kapton® former, open cast-aluminum frame, and treated-cloth surround allow for high power handling, while protecting this driver from extreme transient power peaks.
