Build Your Own Unique Desktop Bluetooth Multimedia Speaker

This component kit includes two 4" full range drivers that are essential for delivering a full range of sound. When paired together, the drivers are designed to handle a maximum power of 40W each, providing a total power output of 80W. Other features include a poly damped woven glass cone, damped rubber surround, and high energy motor. These and other features help deliver 80 to 15,000 Hz frequency range and a vented speaker enclosure adds even more low-end response.

Building the Right Size Speaker Cabinet Makes All the Difference

To get the best sound quality from your speakers, it is important to enclose them in the right size cabinet. The size and design of the speaker cabinet can greatly affect the overall audio performance of the Bluetooth speaker. One example is the speaker chamber dimensions. For these 4" speakers each chamber must be around 5" x 5" x 10.5" or you can make it larger with the included port tubes which also helps with the bass output. The face plate must also have its own chamber separate from the speakers since it's not air tight. Make sure you seal around the speaker wires coming from the face plate going into the speaker chambers. By following these recommended specifications and guidelines, you can ensure that your speakers will deliver the best audio experience possible. A simple sample cabinet drawing is provided below that'll help you get the build started, or create your own uniquely designed eye-catching speaker enclosure. Notice that the included power connector and switch are in the same chamber as the amp faceplate. The face plate dimensions could vary by 1/32" so verify the measurements before cutting your hole.

Make It Vertical with the Same Size Holes

Use your creative juices and make the box any shape that you want as long as the cubic volume is the same or a little larger than the diagram above.

Make it Truly Portable

 Add an internal battery holder/charging board like the LBB-3Sv2 or LBB-5Sv2 so it's available to take wherever you go. A simpler design works if you have a power tool battery (12 to 24 VDC) that has an external holder option. You'll have to use your power tool charger to charge the battery when needed.

Easy to Wire Up

The amp board has three JST-XH sockets that the power and speaker harness plug into. Soldering the wires to the speakers and switch is an option, but crimp connectors are included if needed. Carefully solder the power wires to the DC jack and the antenna wire to the board.

Feature Loaded

In addition to the powerful sound output, this component kit also offers Bluetooth connectivity. This means that you can easily connect your smartphone, tablet, or any other Bluetooth-enabled device to the speakers and stream your favorite music wirelessly. No more hassle with wires and cables!

The included wire will work, but a longer wire will add to the reception range. The antenna wire must extend outside of metal enclosures.

Simply insert your USB drive or SD card into the designated port on the amp's faceplate, and you can enjoy your music without the need for any external devices. You're also able to record directly from the input source or the built-in microphone onto the flash drives.
