4" x 6" High Excursion Poly Cone Woofer with Neodymium Magnet

This 4" x 6" subwoofer is a unique driver that was originally used in a high-end sound bar, but the high excursion, low Fs, and Qts of 0.83 makes it a great candidate for use in open baffle or infinite baffle line array designs. The 19 mm long voice coil and 4 mm gap combine for an X-max of 7.5 mm, allowing this driver to move more air that you expect. The 0.75" diameter 4-layer coil is wound on a vented aluminum former to ensure that compression remains at a minimum even when driven to its limit. A double roll rubber surround and 2" diameter spider (large for a 4" x 6") keep the cone linear under high excursion. A reinforced poly cone keeps unwanted resonance well out of the useful frequency response. With a one of a kind polymer frame and neodymium motor, this driver is extremely light weight…don't let that fool you, it can deliver some impressive bass performance (especially in multiples). The efficiency might not be high, but neither is the price, so this is the perfect driver to experiment with low frequency arrays.
