HiWave HIAX32C20-8 32mm Self Supported Exciter 8 Ohm
Used as a small sound dock subwoofer
I'm a total newbie to diy speaker and I wonder if I could use this transducer as a subwoofer for a small sized sound dock to complete with a pair of Tang Bang W2-800SL and a DTA-2 ampli?
Good project but could be problematic. You'll need a large surface with the right properties or you'll have a vibrator instead of a sub. Also, you'll have need a circuit to share load from channels or have an imbalance. If building,I'd use a Peerless 830987 instead of the w-2. Range is 54-20000. If refitting and must have 2" speaker, I'd use a vifa or peerless. Either way,use a notch filter at fs. Good luck.

Would these speakers work on inside of kitchen cabinet doors? How much surface is required to be effective?
These will work assuming the cabinet door material is relatively thin and lightweight. The larger the surface the more output you will get (to an extent), as well as more bass response. A standard cabinet door will be ideal.
