Product Details

Yung SD200 200W Class D Subwoofer Plate Amplifier Module No Boost

Yung International's SD Series Class D subwoofer power amplifiers are equipped with the unique ability to operate continuously at full rated output—a performance attribute not shared by most home audio amp designs. The benefits of this remarkable reserve capacity include solid, punchy dynamic range and fewer "nuisance" shutdowns when operated at sustained high levels.

The amplifiers are also extremely compact, lightweight, and cool-running, allowing users to enjoy the advantages of compact system form factors and flexibility of placement. An internal peak limiting circuit prevents amplifier overload, and protection against internal and external faults is also provided. Input power requirements are user configurable to either 115 VAC or 230 VAC line voltage.

Room optimization and system integration are accomplished easily, thanks to the SD Series amps' inclusion of fully variable level, crossover frequency, and phase controls. Signal input is connected via dual RCA-type jacks, including the means to accept the output of an A/V receiver's LFE output, and dual RCA jacks are also provided to facilitate line level loop-through. When in standby mode, the amp's full active operation is engaged by signal presence of less than 1/2 watt.

Specifications: • Measured power output: 200 watts RMS into 4 ohms @ < 1.0% THD • Signal to noise ratio (at rated power): >90 dB • Input sensitivity (@ low level): 210 mV/50 Hz • Low pass adjustment: 40 Hz to 200 Hz • Phase adjustment: Continuously variable from 0º (normal) to 180º (reverse) • Power requirements: Switchable, 115/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz • Dimensions: 8" W x 7" H x 2-1/4" D; Cutout dimensions: 7-1/4" W x 6-1/4" H.

Yung SD200 200W Class D Subwoofer Plate Amplifier Module No Boost
Yung SD200 200W Class D Subwoofer Plate Amplifier Module No Boost is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from very low end ampa thin light electric cord and 1/8 speakers connectors cant really be expected to produce a large current draw or to be designed to last that long.I have 20 yrs. designing and building sound systems...stick with Dayton plate amps...I exchanged it for a Dayton 100 watt.....I should have known better!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerfull Small UnitInstalled this amp in a Sony SAWMSP75 (Original amp and speaker failed) box with an Infinity Reference 8" 860W and it's shaking the house down. Before this I purchased a Sony SAW2500 10" sub but it had no definition for movies, did not have enough power and did not fit in my sectional sofa. You're not supposed to use car subs for home theater but this combination works like heaven. It even refreshes my feet during movie bass lines.AMP Notes:Doesn't even get warmAuto-On feature work like all subs are supposed to. Turn your receiver on and the sub click on, no need to have a certain amount of sound going to it, so it eliminates the highly annoying Auto-Off during quiet movie scenes, all definition even during speech and non action scenes.Easy to install with a small footprint for the amount of powerDid I mention Price Cheap, instead of quality Cheap.Phase, Volume and Crossover cutoff dials works perfectly in combination with the calibration feature of my receiver.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice unitBought this to replace inop stock amp plate on a name brand 10 inch ported box.Control knobs have a nice feel to them. Seems to have the advertised power.Had to cut back to 1/3 power (instead of 1/2 with old 100 watt rms amp) for YPAO set up. YPAO had max minus after setup at 1/2 volume and still had too much bass.Great to have sub working again inexpensively. Seems to run cooler as well.Glad I didn't buy the 500 watt model!

Yung SD200 200W Class D Subwoofer Plate Amplifier Module No Boost

Hello, I wonder how much internal volume the Yung SD200 Subwoofer Plate Amplifier Module are using, I am going to build a really small subwoofer enclosure so I want to add the volume to the enclosure for the SD200 so that my calculation gets right.

Asked by: Benorr
These do not take up enough space to make a difference in the total displacement of a subwoofer.

Since the Yung SD200 Class D plate amp does not have a louvered heat sink on the surface, can I mount it turned 90 degrees with the long dimension vertical without and detrimental consequences to the amp? Cut out as specified is too wide for my sub box.

Asked by: Rockman
Yes this amp can be mounted in any orientation without harming anything.

Is it possible to bridge this amplifier? I want to run four 4 ohm sub woofers, series/parallel.

Asked by: craigede
This is a mono amplifier already. With four 4 ohm woofers, you will have to wire them in series/parallel to get back to a 4 ohm load.

Standby power consumption?

Spec says: "When in standby mode, the amp's full active operation is engaged by signal presence of less than 1/2 watt."Does anyone know what the amp power consumption is while in standby mode?
Asked by: cah51
Yung response via email:"It is approx. 0.35 ~ 0.4W."

Instructions on how to modify the rumble filter to below 12Hz?

Asked by: Tin Ears
I think you may be confusing a spec. There is no mention of a rumble filter - which is different than the crossover control. The "Cutoff" is the upper crossover frequency. Sometimes amps have low end limiters to eliminate stray or unwanted bass frequencies. None of the documentation here speaks of a rumble filter. Please post with attachments your reference material and I can help you better. Incidently, In the case where this kind of change is possible, it means changing some board components, soldering, and voiding the warranty.,

Is there a subsonic filter on these? If so, what frequency?
Asked by: Drew C
No there is not
