Wired Home WHIREB IR Emitter Blaster
can I use this I R emiter to control a Verizon cable box thats hidden inside a cabinet, with just the emiter exposed?
Would I be able to use the same remote that came with the box? Thanks Larry
Not sure I understand your question, but I will give it a shot. The short answer is, yes, you can use the same remote. The long answer: The blaster is only part of an IR repeater system and must be used in combination with a target and a hub. The target is placed where you want to point the remote, and emitters are placed where they can be seen by your equipment. Targets and emitters are wired together using a powered hub. There are two types of emitters: flashers and blasters. Flashers are usually placed directly on each piece of equipment using clear double sided tape. Blasters have more range and are placed where more than one piece of equipment can see the same blaster. Blasters require a hub designed to produce the proper output. Hope that helps.
