Product Details

Wired Home 3206BF0A Dual RG-6/U Quad Shield Coax Cable100

Fluorescent lights, motors, computers, and a myriad of other electronic devices used in offices, homes, commercial, and industrial environments generate massive amounts of EM and RF interference that manifests in signal as audible hums or fuzzy video. Quad shield RG-6/U cable provides an added defense against interference for the purest signal possible, while the dual siamesed cable construction saves on installation time. Two copper-clad steel 18 AWG center conductors makes this cable ideally suited for antenna, cable television, and satellite television applications where a strong cable is needed to guard against the elements. This cable may also be used to make high performance, custom length audio patch cables. Each individual cable features a 60% coverage aluminum braid over a 125% overlapped Mylar foil, a secondary 40% aluminum braids over 125% overlapped Mylar foil provides greater shielding than standard RG-6/U. UL listed and CMG rated for use within walls.

Specifications (each cable): • Center conductor: 1.02 mm dia. solid copper • Dielectric: 4.57 mm dia. foamed PE • Inner shield: Aluminized Mylar foil with 60% coverage 80 x 0.12 mm dia. aluminum braid • Outer shield: Aluminized Mylar foil with 40% coverage 48 x 0.12 mm dia. aluminum braid • Nominal impedance: 75 ohms • Velocity of propagation: 82% • Capacitance: 53.1 pF/meter • Nominal attenuation: 21.6 dB/100 meters @ 1 GHz • Overall diameter: 7.62 mm • Cable dispensed from a plastic spool.

What diameter techflex has the best fit with this cable?

Asked by:
1/4 would be a little small butt still work but 3/8 would probably work the best for a single wire, 7.62 is equivalent to 5/16. The techflex does stretch a lot and will shrink with heat all so. Caterpillar uses this type of product on all of its wiring and has had great success when used correctly. On each termination of a run you can use heat shrink or zip ties, or simple roll it up backwards and then run it over it self and you will have a great looking and durable wire. The internet should have some how too vid's on the correct ways at securing the ends all so.

What is the outside width of the two combined cables? I have to pass it through a 9/16" ID hole. Thanks Dave

Asked by: fi250
The overall width on this cable is approximately 5/8" (16mm), so passing it through a 9/16" hole would be exceedingly difficult if not impossible.
