Winegard HD-7697P Outdoor HDTV Antenna 131" Boom
Winegard HD-7697P Outdoor HDTV Antenna 131" Boom is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Antenna!I was getting tired of the expensive cable tv offered I our area. It was fine when there were numerous packages that were offered to the customer. Over time and especially now the company is putting all the good channels in the top "Gold" package. I guess that would be okay if we actually watched television all of our waking hours. Then we would get our money's worth I guess. We only watch tv however in the evenings for 2-3 hours. So after talking with friends at work that are off the "cable grid" and have antennas, I decided to try it too. I was almost going to purchase one of those flat window pane mounted antennas but considering our location of being on the side of a north facing hillside along the Oregon coast I decided to buy a more substantial antenna. We live in a pretty hilly forested area.I am a 61 year old grandma and I was able to follow the setup instructions fairly well. The diagrams could be a bit more detailed however I was able to get it setup correctly. Before I even had it on the roof, it was laying sideways on the deck floor. I hooked up the coaxial cable to the tv and did a channel scan. I was excited to see that it had found 5 channels: 2 abc and 3 PBS channels. I finally got it on the roof and installed on the antenna mast and did another channel scan and was amazed to have a total of 9 channels now. I knew we were were not going to have a lot but I am totally satisfied with the 9: 2 abc, 2 nbc, 2 cbs, and the 3 PBS channels. All the channels have different programming and are all in super HD. The quality of the picture is way way better than that of the HD cable has to offer. I am totally satisfied and I figure that we can save $1200 per year being off the cable tv grid. BTW our cable company is Charter and well, sayonara cable tv. Best purchase I have made this year! Thank you Parts-Express.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from dealing with digitalI needed this antenna to pick up two high vhf channels 45 miles away in Cincinnati. I used antenna org to see where the stations were on the compass and used this antenna with a hd-1080 to complete my antenna solution. The big guy points at cincy at 202 degrees and the small guy points at Dayton at 80 degrees. The small guy is 5 feet lower on the 30 foot tower. I combine these with part number 183-130. I get every channel antenna org says I should get at 100 percent, even the violet ones. It even helps the FM reception, although a dedicated FM antenna I took down did a better job.
