Can I use these in a energy 22
I know the 22 is a 8 ohm tweeter is there anyway I can adapt this tweeter ?
I would not recommend swapping an 8 ohm for a 4 ohm. Your crossover point will change and updating the tweeter will likely hurt rather than help the sound.

I plan on mounting this tweeter in the same airspace as a pair of woofers. The enclosure will be ported, so the pressure won't be as high, but I'm curious if I should worry about building a small enclosure behind the tweeter to prevent midrange from destroying the tweeter?
Tweeters are typically in sealed enclosures already - unless they are referred to as "dipolar" like the NEO 3 or NEO 8 by BG. So you don't need a separate enclosure.In rare cases, some tweeters to have venting on the back to keep the pressure off of the diaphragm. In all cases - speakers should not share air space.

Good woofer match?
I'd like to try this tweet for a simple two-way; anyone have a good recommendation for a woofer? I've done a bunch of car audio and amp projects, but this is my first ground-up home audio build, so I'd prefer to keep crossover complexity to a minimum. I'm probably going to make a few different enclosures to try out, so flexibility for sealed or vented would be a plus. Going for 90% music listening.THANKS!!
This tweeter is very easy to work with, and could blend well with virtually any smaller woofer (say, 8" or smaller) in a two-way system. The simplest crossover in recorded history is a first order (6dB/octave) high pass filter consisting of a single capacitor. This tweeter could be treated thusly with a 5.6µF capacitor, which will provide a gently sloping crossover frequency of about 3500Hz. You'd want to use a woofer that will play up to (but not much beyond) that approximate frequency, and simply leave the woofer unmolested to play up to its full range, at which point it will naturally roll off and let the tweeter take over. Is there a minimum optimal listening distance for "Ring Radiator Tweeters"?
Do ring tweeters offer less dispersion as apposed to traditional dome tweeters? Would they need to be on axis for a flat response, as the spec sheet response graph suggests to me? Are there better suited tweeter options for building speakers for a small room (or perhaps a car) with a listening distance of just under 2 meters? I have used the Seas 27TFFNCG in a car (close and slightly off axis listening) with good results, but the design here seems different enough for me to ask.
No. Most speaker specs are measured 1W @ 1M. Listening distance is a matter of personal taste, or tolerance in this case. You never want to sit too close to tweeters.I have used piezos in car-audio because of thier brightness [and cheapness, get stolen alot out of cars]. These can be used as well and may not be as directional as other tweeters.Again you would have to try them to determine if they perform as you like...

Is this for one tweeter or a pair?
This is a single tweeter. It has a unique design that uses dual rings, as opposed to a dome or cone as most tweeters use.
