Video Converter USB to VGA
I do have 2 video outputs. Can I use this to free up my dvi or hdmi output to put to a tv?
I do karaoke. My main monitor has VGA. My singer's monitor has DVI & VGA, so there goes my 2 outputs. What I'd like to do is use this to free up the DVI input on my singer's monitor, so I can use my 2nd video output (DVI or HDMI) to go to a big screen tv with hdmi. I have an Nvidia GeForce GT-120 video card that lets me put my main desktop (with programs and icons) to my main monitor, and just the desktop background (without programs and icons on my singer's monitor. The main question I have is will this work the same, or will it clone everything to the singer's monitor?
Like the details of the product state, you can use this device as a primary, mirror, or to extend the desktop....I would think that this would mean yes to your question. You would use the USB output for power and a video feed....but I would say that the video monitor you are going to feed would have to have a VGA connection on it, NOT a DVI or HDMI. If you are already using the DVI or HDMI to feed a source, this source may not be compatible with this device.....so be aware. You need to carefully think out what you are trying to do, what available inputs on the monitors that you have, etc....
