Video Converter USB to VGA
Is it Windows 8 compatible?
I do have 2 video outputs. Can I use this to free up my dvi or hdmi output to put to a tv?
I do karaoke. My main monitor has VGA. My singer's monitor has DVI & VGA, so there goes my 2 outputs. What I'd like to do is use this to free up the DVI input on my singer's monitor, so I can use my 2nd video output (DVI or HDMI) to go to a big screen tv with hdmi. I have an Nvidia GeForce GT-120 video card that lets me put my main desktop (with programs and icons) to my main monitor, and just the desktop background (without programs and icons on my singer's monitor. The main question I have is will this work the same, or will it clone everything to the singer's monitor?
I have never used this USB to VGA adapter. It is designed to be used to provide a second video output from your PC. Some PC's only have one video output or use only the built in screen and do not have a VGA or S-video output. This adapter plugs (and is powered by) your computers USB and provides an output that can be configured as your main monitor, a duplicate of your laptop screen or an extended desktop screen. If your PC and video card allows two screen function then you can send separate programs to the additional screen. As an example, Karaoke words to the second screen while the player program is displayed on your main screen.Good Luck
