Velleman K2572 Stereo Preamplifier Kit
Velleman K2572 Stereo Preamplifier Kit is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Awful and should be pulledThis unit was constructed to the letter with a strictly regulated supply and sounds terrible. The bass rolls off at around 100hz, there is lots of power supply noise in the audio signal, and the unit sounds clipped at all volume levels. A simple line level preamp is all I needed to drive an amplifier to a slightly higher level. This unit I tried both with the stock components as well as upgrading the coupling caps to Dayton polys, and the cheap resistors to metal oxide 1 watt jobbers. In either case the preamp sounded terrible, and is a kit, so I'm not sure if I can get my money back on this.

Any good to pair with the DTA-2?

just setup the dta2 with a pair of nd91 3.5" speakernot real loud though even turned up full with a large 12v batterywill this preamp run ok added to this combo?
Asked by: fezz
The DTA-2 does not require a preamp. This would be a good match to a 2x8W or 2x15W board amp that we offer however.
