Tymphany TC9FD18-08 3-1/2" Full Range Paper Cone Woofer
Does it have a speaker grill? Or anything suitable. Also is it water-proof?
I am sorry there are not any grills available that will fit this. The cone is also paper so it would not be very good in direct weather.

my calculation of ideal vented size at 0.2cubit ft=346cubic inches, cabinet size 11x4x8 comes close, but what size is the vent?, does not say.
I would recommend a port diameter of 1.5" and a length of 1.5" for a tuning frequency of 90 Hz.

Could you tell me if this would be a suitable replacement for Marantz Imperial 7 mid range driver? If not could you recommend something else? Thanks.

These speakers (Vifa TC9FD) have, what appears to be, a gasket on th face of th frame. Does this mean that they should be surface-mounted to th inside of th front baffle? Does it ever hurt to countersink a speaker to th outer face of a baffle?
This driver can be front or rear mounted, but there is only a gasket on the top of the frame. Flush mounting a driver like this will provide a smoother response in the upper frequencies, there is nothing wrong with doing this.

Looking to build a sound bar with 12 of these, basically 3 separate boxes that share a common front baffle. Each box will be 0.8cu ft ported out the back of the box with 2” dia. pvc port. Do I tune to the f3, 73hz? What length would the port be?
A tuning frequency around 80 Hz would be best for this application. You can achieve this with a 3" diameter, 1" long port for each enclosure.

Hi Guys, I am thinking about using this as a car midrange mounted high up in the door, now a 3.5 FR pioneer 2way around 89dB Bass is 88 dB 6.5 Alpine. Will this be loud enough or do I need to say with car 4 ohm drivers? 12-9-14 Thanks!
It is hard to say. These will be higher and more on axis so the difference in sensitivity might be beneficial here for a better blend. This will have similar sensitivity to other similar sized drivers.
