Is the crossover built into the speaker-or do I need an external crossover?
It does NOT apperar to have the xover built in. I just want to be sure.
there is no crossover. if you are using it full range, may be wise to run with (at least) a 150-220uF electrolytic capacitor in line on the positive terminal to filter the lows, or use the digital xover in your HT receiver. Im sure you could go crazy with zobel networks and other notch filtering schemes, but it will add to your cost.run the cap and call it a day.PK

If I install this driver in a pod, what is the recommended enclosure size?
Or will it perform equally well without any air/space behind? I will be using it as a mid range in my car audio setup.Thank you.
This driver works well in .01 cubic feet sealed, or .02 cubic feet vented. If it will be used as a midrange, the enclosure will play no part with frequencies above about 250 Hz so it will not matter if it is in an enclosure or not.
