Tripp Lite LC1800 Line Conditioner / AVR System
Tripp Lite LC1800 Line Conditioner / AVR System is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some clarification is required.A previous reviewer said the this device's claim was misleading. His complaint regarded the unit's inability to change a constant incoming line voltage. His testing and results are misleading. First off, 127VAC is the edge of the standard of 115VAC +/-10% (115V+10%((11.5V))=126.5V)or rounded to 127Volts. So the unit was correct in not doing anything to this voltage and passing it thru. Secondly, the reviewer made no mention of a LOAD of any kind. Line voltage is meaningless until a load is applied. I can tell you after using 3 of these units for over 7 years in pro audio live sound in clubs that they work as advertised. Some of these clubs run 95-100Volts when loaded and the output through these units is 115-120 all night long. The same for over voltage. Using these units with a generator pumping 140volts (unloaded) made sure that nothing more than 125-127volts made it through.Don't believe me? Find someone with Variac and set it for 95VAC. Then plug this unit and apply a load to it. Fire up a 1500W power amp and some subs. I dare ya. Then measure the out going voltages. they'll be well over 110+Volts under such a massive load.Disclaimer time: I do not nor have never worked for Tripp Lite or of their suppliers or associates ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Description is somewhat misleading. This works fine as a surge/spike suppressor, and as a voltage filter for noise on the line. It DOES NOT, as advertised, regulate voltage to 120VAC. It's listed at taking any voltage 87-140v and regulating it to 120. It does not. I had 127 volts going in, and 127 volts coming out. Bought 3 units and they all did this. What it does do is level the voltage for momentary spikes. If your voltage goes 120, quickly up to 130, then back, this will keep it at 120. It does absolutely nothing for constant voltage problems, though. If you don't have this specific problem, then this unit is a great value for the money and will serve you well.
