Topping TP31 T-Amp Class T Amplifier with DAC 15WPC

Topping amplifiers are designed and built using only the best components to achieve the highest level of sound quality possible. Gold plated miniature 5-way binding posts offer many connection options and are insulated to protect against shorting conditions. Inside you will find an ALPS potentiometer, TOKO inductors, Siemans, Panasonic, and Nichicon capacitors, and KOA resistors, and a Panasonic power relay.

Digital to analog conversion is handled by a Cirrus Logic CS8416 digital audio receiver—capable of handling sample rates of up to 192 kHz with low jitter clock recovery—and a Texas Instruments PCM1793 DAC that features 113 dB of dynamic range, less than 0.001% total harmonic distortion and noise, 8x oversampling, and can decode 16 to 24-bit signals. Converted signal is sent to a Burr-Brown OPA2134 SoundPlus op amp for gain to be fed into the amplifier stage.

Amplification is handled by the tried-and-true Tripath TA2024B that creates up to 15 watts per channel of power. Hallmarks of the TA2024B include audiophile-grade dynamic range of up to 98 dB, low distortion, and signal fidelity equal to that of high quality linear amplifiers—at a fraction of their weight and size!

Headphone amplification is provided for critical listening, delivering up to 100 mW into a 32-ohm load with 0.01% total harmonic distortion and noise, and makes the Topping TP31 perfect for use at home or in the studio. World-compatible switching power supply included.

Features: • Digital coaxial input with Cirrus Logic digital receiver and Texas Instruments DAC • 3.5 mm headphone output and gold plated inputs • Separate input and output control switches • Extruded aluminum chassis with CNC-cut volume control, backplate, and faceplate • World-compatible switching power supply included • Miniature gold plated 5-way insulated binding posts • Speaker protection built-in.

Specifications: • Speaker power output: 15W x 2 (4 ohms, 10% THD), 9W x 2 (4 ohms, 0.03% THD), 10W x 2 (8 ohms, 10% THD), 6W x 2 (8 ohms, 0.1% THD) • Headphone power output: 60mW x 2 (16 ohms, 1% THD), 120mW x 2 (1% THD), 100mW x 2 (32 ohms, 0.01% THD) • DAC THD+N: 0.0019% (1 kHz, 96 kHz sample rate) • Signal-to-noise ratio: 98 dB • Dynamic range: 98 dB • Up to 90% efficient (8 ohms, 10W) • Inputs: Stereo RCA and digital coaxial • Input sensitivity: 200 mV • Power supply: 100-240 VAC input, 12 VDC, 3A output • Dimensions: 4.13" W x 1.77" H x 8.07" D.

Topping TP31 T-Amp Class T Amplifier with DAC 15WPC
Topping TP31 T-Amp Class T Amplifier with DAC 15WPC is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Topping TP31...provides satisfactionDoes everything I hoped for. I use this handy little amp/dac to power sound from my desktop computer. I purchased seperately, a s/pdif headercable and bracket for my computer to manage the connection to this device. I generally use Linux Operating Systems and setting the sound to output to IEC958 and adjusting some samplerate configurations, have very good quality sound. After a couple weeks and some burn in time, my monitors deliver a quality performance. My only wish...Topping would also provide USB connector on this model. Then my system would also see this as a separate sound card, bypassing my onboard computer audio when desired.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Topping TP31 Class T Digital Amp with DACHaven't had a lot of time to fully evaluate this item, however, I have found the audio output from the TP31 to be refined, detailed, and "non-glaring" when compared to other less expensive class T amplifiers. I do not know if the reclocking of the digital data, the use of better electronic components, or a combination of both is the reason for my experience (probably the latter). I have the TP31 hooked up to an Oppo DVD player through the digital coax connection. This configuration allows the digital output of the Oppo player to feed straight to the TP31. The only part that missing is a remote control (mainly to adjust the volume output) so it can be used with a wide variety of CD/DVD players that do not have variable audio outputs. Overall a great product.

Topping TP31 T-Amp Class T Amplifier with DAC 15WPC

how do I hook up the speakers to this topping tp31? Can I hook up my tv to this amplifier? thanks

Asked by: miles22
This amplifier has standard 5 way binding posts that will accept bare wire, banana plugs, speaker pin connectors, spades or ring terminals. This will plug into your TV as long as it has analog RCA audio or a coaxial digital audio output.

Overall power weakness?

Hi,I have three questions about this broduct which I have purchased recently.1- When I connect the unit to pc, the sound is ok but when connecting it to a cell phone (Nokia E63) the sound becomes weak and thin. Is this because this cell phone's output power?2- In general I can only obtain satisfaction sound level when I bring volume knob almost max level! And this probably adds distortion to overall sound. Am I doing something wrong?? Sound comes weak and less when the volume level is in its mid position. I am just driving a 4" Dayton ND-105 4 ohm and a Vifa ring radiator tweeter 4 ohm.3- Is it possible to increase the overall sound by replacing the power supply with a higher ampered one? This unit's is 12V 3A.Please help me because I am dissapointed with this product if this is all. Thanks in advanceErtunc

I don't know how your phone audio is set up, but if levels are ok with your pc and not the phone I suspect your phone output requires being increased. This amp is only 15 watts / channel so volume is not going to shake the room but at nominal listening levels it should be clear and clean.Try adjusting your phone settings and increase volume to see if this compensates.
