TeiNuro 2.1 Powered Multimedia System MP3/USB/SD Card Input

Computer speakers have no right to sound this good! TeiNuro's powered 2.1 multimedia system will make you a believer in just one listen. Already have your music files loaded on a USB thumb drive or SD card?  Simply plug your storage device into the rear USB port or SD slot for instant playback!  A 3.5 mm input allows for quick connection to PCs, laptops, Apple® products, and most smartphone headphone outputs, for streaming Pandora® Radio or playing from the internal memory.

Passive chrome 1/2" Mylar® dome acoustic radiators are used to recreate crystal clear highs with an amazing off-axis power response. Magnetically shielded 2-3/4" midranges designed around unique paper cones with treated foam surrounds for unparalleled quickness and transient response. The small micro-bookshelf size not only saves desk space, it is essential for creating sound that follows you around.

Believe that subwoofers need to be large for good output and deep bass? Think again... Two 3" bass drivers with butyl rubber surround are paired together in a diminutive bass-reflex enclosure for surprisingly deep lows that are both articulate and punchy, while distracting vent noise is kept at bay through the use of a flared port. The subwoofer acts as anchor of this system, with the 2.1 amplifier housed within its chassis. Volume and tone controls are built onto the face for adjustability when using USB or SD storage solutions, or you can set-and-forget using the volume control built into your computer software. LIMITED AVAILABILITY.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent sound for a small systemI bought this to upgrade the amp/speakers in my shop. Huge difference! Great sound. The thumb drive features works perfectly. The aux input would be better if it had a little more gain. Good deal except the shipping was a little high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Terrific little amplifier/speaker/playerI bought this on sale, and I have been amazed by its near-field audio quality. It also has memory card and usb inputs. (albeit on the back of the unit).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong for the price!Got this for my 13 yr old niece for her bedroom and she just loves it!When my sister-in-law found out how much it cost she wrote me out a check right there for another one.Don't expect Hi-Fi by any means but very listenable for background music and such. It could definitely be improved by having all the controls on the front but it's an understandable compromise in order for them to make them for this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best computer speakers I've ever had.Very nice. I'm looking at them right now & listening to a singer from the 1950's named Johnny Horton & they sure sound good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pound for pound they're very nice! They have a very nice tone when used sensibly. They are the best computer speakers I've ever had! Although they can be over driven into the distortion zone, you'll get lots of "loud enough" sound out of them before you get there!

Is review for real?

Just read the first review. Thanks for the info! Any ideas on real tweeters or just stay away?
Asked by: davjan
SpkrNuts is correct, but with qualification. I wanted to make sure and clarify, as a representative of Parts Express, that our description of this product was incomplete at the time the review and ensuing question were posted. Regardless of our best efforts and intentions, typographical errors, omissions, or other mistakes do occasionally slip through. This is one such case. These are not tweeters in the traditional sense, but are modulated by the full/midrange in such a way that they are functioning as a coupled device.

Does this come with the remote that 320-350 includes?

Asked by: Gregg
It does not come with a remote. 320-350 has more functions and the remote (as indicated by number of buttons on the device face).

ipod compatibility

will this play off an ipod since it has a USB input? it is not mentioned in the specs so can I assume that it will not?
Asked by: jalng63
The TeiNuro 2.1 system features a stereo 3.5 mm input on the rear of the woofer cabinet, above and to the right of built-in MP3 module. You would need to use a stereo 3.5 mm male-to-male cable to connect the headphone output of your iPod to the TeiNuro's input. I have linked the product video below. Skip forward to 57 seconds into the video to see the input.

Add some tweeters?

Someone should try installing a couple of Dayton's Neo dome tweeters and a 2-way 5KHz crossover and then see how it sounds.
Asked by: Andrew
Or the killer little Vifa:BC25SC06-04 a cap 'n coil [or just a good cap on the tweet]: have not seen the inside of the baffle though, nor do I know if one can get at the area beHIND it. You could drop it in from the front with some silicone seal behind it... or if you CAN get inside, maybe hot-glue it in from there? Mounting from inside would yield better time alignment? I also have some ApexJR planar-magnetic tweets laying around, OMG, those would probably sound grand crossed in pretty high up.If I buy one of these I certainly would hack it first thing!I bet beefing up some capacitors in the amplifier power supply would help too.I'd stick an old beater laptop on it, then you can use VLC Player and have playlists and EQ, bump of the bass etc. And you can then STREAM music.

Build quality?

As of mid-November 2011, it looks like these have been available for only a couple of months or so. I'm curious as to how well built they seem, and how they seem to be holding up for people who own them? Love the simplicity, seems like fewer things to go wrong. Incredible price, but if they aren't holding up, not worth the hassle. Thanks in advance.

Since you have a 45 day money back guarantee, you would need to weigh the return shipping charge as part of the home demonstraition asset. In my experience, parts express has a great reputation for excellent customer service and products and I am willing to bet that the company would not want to chance too many dissatisfied customers with selling a piece that is of a low standard.I learned the hard way. If I see something I would like, I jump on it because once they are gone...that is it. It may be exaxctly what you are looking for and if not you may return it. (sans shipping of course)

What is the power rating on these?

wattage for each component as well as total draw would be nice.
Asked by: shata
The subwoofer is rated for 6 watts RMS, and the satellites are 3 watts each. Unfortunately, I do not have a specification for total power consumption.
