Tang Band 25-1933S 1" Fabric Dome Shielded Tweeter

What is the lowest or recommended crossover point for this speaker that will still yield me the 80 watts max handling capacity. Also is this more a midrange tweeter type of speaker?

Asked by: cskp718
I would not recommend crossing this any lower than 1,500 Hz second order. I would not consider this a mid-tweeter.

Car audio.

How much power could this tweeter handle if I ran it from 800 to 20000hrz. Like to maybe use 4 as a mid-range tweeter type set up for better staging. My car has the door speakers set too low to get good mid-range sound.
Asked by: mstokes
I would not recommend crossing these lower than 1500 Hz LR4, 2000 Hz LR2. The frequency response on this tweeter is a misprint based on the Fs.

truncated mating

i'm thinking of mating this with the dayton RS150T-8 6" woofer. are the flat sides the same length on both?
Asked by: dBAudio
The flat edge of the tweeter is shorter than the woofer but this will not affect the mounting.

If I used the Dayton Audio XO3W-625/5K 3-Way Crossover with this 6 ohm tweeter will my crossover point 5000 and sensitivity 90db change? If so, how?

Asked by: jeff3948
The sensitivity would not be affected, however, the crossover frequency would shift up by half an octave, so your 5kHz crossover point would become 7.5kHz (rendering the sound between 5kHz and 7.5kHz more or less non-existent).
