Product Details

Talent MIX-R Mini Portable 3-Channel Mixer with USB Audio Interface

The Talent MIX-R professional, portable USB-based mixing console was designed for musicians on the go. It is perfect for computer-based recording and podcasting duties, and much smaller than a big, clunky standard mixing console. Connect the MIX-R to the USB port of your computer, and it functions as your computer's sound card over the second input. A combination XLR - 1/4" connector provides channel one's microphone or line input. Channel two can be fed from your choice of stereo RCA inputs or USB from your computer. RCA and 3.5 mm stereo outputs are available for monitors or headphones. Channel one includes an ultra-low noise mic preamp with +20V phantom power and gain control; both channels feature 2 band EQ for lush and natural sound quality. A signal-clip LED is present on channel one, as well as L+R clip indicators for the main output.

Specifications: • Frequency response: 10 - 40,000 Hz • THD/N: 0.01% • Mic EIN: -118 dBu • Input gain: 0 to 50 dB (mic); -35 to +15 dB (line) • USB ADC & DAC: 16-bit Delta-Sigma; 44.1 kHz sampling rate • System requirements: Windows 2000, XP or higher; Mac OS 9.0.4, 10.X or higher • Dimensions: 4" x 6" x 1.5" • Powered by USB connection or 5 VDC 500mA adapter (included).

Talent MIX-R Mini Portable 3-Channel Mixer with USB Audio Interface
Talent MIX-R Mini Portable 3-Channel Mixer with USB Audio Interface is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 5.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cute Little MixerSimple, easy to use and small 2 channel mixer. I've used it to do some voice recordings and dub vinyl to my computer. One of it's best features is the working off just one USB plug, being powered and interfacing with the computer with it. The controls seem uneven though. Turning the level up from 0 to 3/4 gives very little change then just a tiny turn later the channel goes to clipping. For under $50 it's no deal breaker.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As advertised!Sturdy construction, works as advertised, good product. However, I can't figure out how to not get the monitored mix included on subsequent tracks when multi-track recording. User error I'm sure. Hopefully with a bit more tinkering I will have it figured out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean USB recording mixer for a song (cheap)For less that $40 on sale, this mixer is a no brainer even if you have a complete 24 track studio at home. USB power and noiseless recording interface. Handy D/A converter with the bonus of output level control and a 2 bus mixer thrown in to boot. Almost fits in your shirt pocket. Seems to be well put together, time will tell.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Radio Broadcasters too!!I bought this to see how it would work as an interface between a professional broadcaster's headset, and a laptop using Skype to do live play-by-play on a radio station for local high-school and college sports. This little mixer is almost perfect for the job. The only thing I wish is it did differently would be to have the audio from the computer (studio back-haul) go to the headphone mix only, and not into the main mix also. That is only a problem during breaks, when the station wants to talk back to you with instructions. They will hear themselves echoing back. That doesn't go over the air anyway, so no big deal. This means that it is NOT a good interface for casual Skype usage... like if you want to talk to someone, but for one-way broadcast, it is superb.Put a great microphone on this thing, grab a set of Grado headphones, and a laptop with Cool Edit or Audition software, and you have a portable radio voiceover studio in a bag.It is very high quality, and low noise. The tone controls are a little touchy, but they do have detents for "Flat".Mine came with a small AC power supply for stand-alone use, but it is not needed when plugged into a computer. The unit runs from the USB power. This is VERY MUCH worth it considering the low price. I have already told a few friends and colleagues about this.

Talent MIX-R Mini Portable 3-Channel Mixer with USB Audio Interface

I recently bought a Numark Mixtrack II and it doesn't work with my computer as is: I was asked what interface I use. Will this work for that purpose? I'm an old school D.J. and the cost of going digital I find imposing.

Asked by: MTspacez

Is the mixer chassis metal or plastic?

Asked by: Electric Redneck 273

I must be missing something simple.. Just purchased and received in the mail today with a Peavey pvi100 mic. No matter what combination of inputs and outputs I try, the mic seems dead. I assumed the phantom power would take care of the mic?
