Talent GT01 Color Display Clip-On Guitar Tuner with Rubberized Finish

Keeping your guitar in tune has never been easier or more affordable. The Talent GT01 Color Display Clip-On Guitar Tuner simply clips onto the headstock of your guitar or bass and senses the vibrations of the strings, simply hold the power button until the guitar tuner turns on and you are ready to start. The frequency range detected by the GT01 is optimized for all instruments, including Guitar, Bass, Violin, and Ukulele. For other instruments, find the location that provides the best sound pick-up while allowing you to view the display easily.

The tuner defaults to the tuning reference of A = 440 Hz. The pitch reference can be set anywhere from 430 Hz to 450 Hz and the tuner will reset to A4 automatically whenever the tuner is turned off. In Chromatic mode, the tuner will display non-standard tunings, reading any note you play.

As you play a note, the tuner's needle display will use different colors to indicate the note you are playing and how close to pitch you are. The needle pointing to the left (yellow-colored) side of the display indicates flat, while pointing to the right (red-colored) side of the display indicates sharp. You are in tune if the needle points to the meter's blue-colored center.

Note: Press and hold the power button for 3-seconds to turn on the tuner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little tunerI have owned many guitar tuners over the years. Over all this is one of the best, especially for the money. A compact clip on design, with a well illuminated face gives you infinite placement options for an optimum visual. This unit has no internal mic,but doesn't need one. You can even clip this tuner on a black key of any keyboard to check tuning. I have one in every guitar case--acoustic and electric. The unit is powered by a 3 volt CR2032 easy to replace battery. The only negative thing I think of is upon receiving two of these, I had to replace the battery right away.Probably on the shelf too long.Rick A Wilmington De.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth Every PennyCut this loose from that packaging and was tuning up my acoustic guitar in literally 3 minutes. Display is easy to see and tuner is very intuitive to use. Love it! Low cost enough to leave one with every guitar you own. Battery is included, tuning is dead on. Get 3 or 4.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from color display tuner that rocks !This little baby really surprised me. I've tried it on a guitar, bass, and ukulele. Easy to use and works like a champ. I'm getting one for every guitar I have (because they are so handy to have around). The buttons are a little small for my hands, but other than that, perfect !!

Talent GT01 Color Display Clip-On Guitar Tuner with Rubberized Finish

What is the accuracy and resolution. (in cents)

By accuracy, I mean, when the display indicates the note is correct (on pitch), what is the tolerance of the unit i.e. what is the maximum deviation from the the exact pitch (+ or - in cents) is the unit guaranteed to read. By resolution, I mean how large (or small) are the increments of measurement scale. Thanks, G
Asked by: Gball
the instructions sheet specifies +/- 1 cent accuracyby extension, logically, the resolution is also measured in cents.100 cents makes up a semitone and 200 cents makes a whole tone so this unit is very accurate. For example, A4 equates out to 440hz, A4 plus one cent is 440.25hz, A4 plus 3.93 cents is 441hz which is still A4. A4# is 466hz or 100 cents away from A4 as a point of reference.According to the hyper-physics website at Georgia state university the "just noticeable" threshold for pitches in humans is about 5 cents. this tuner is far more accurate than humans have the ability to hear.
