Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great StuffI got this because the rubber surround on my subwoofer came off from beating on it for over 10yrs in my car. I used Sure Hold to glue it back on & started hammering on it after 1hr & the sub acted like it was new again. Thanks PE for having such a great product. I'll be beating on these subs for another 10yrs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works just like any old fashioned solvent based glue.Works just like any old fashioned solvent based glue. And that is probably just fine. Good for anything that requires a medium drying speed, some filling capability and a reasonably good bond. Only slightly flexible when dried.

will this work for spider repair

my spider tore in a perfect circle about 2 inchs from where it meets the cone/voice coil. Will this work to glue it back together?
Asked by: snickersTcat
Any part of the suspension (spider, surround...) really shouldn't be repaired, it will significantly change the compliance of the suspension and change sound reproduction qualities. If you want to repair the speaker you want to replace the whole spider. If you want to repair it anyway, glue will not hold that kind of thing together, you need some sort of fiber glued across the torn area to reenforce it.

I have a subwoofer with a rubber surround that has a tear in it. Will this work to hold it together & keep it from getting worse.

Asked by: WildStar
Yes, it should do a good job for you in that type of application.
