Sure Electronics ME-PC11121 Red LED Temperature Display with Remote Control
Sure Electronics ME-PC11121 Red LED Temperature Display with Remote Control is rated 2.6667 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Reasonable for the moneyJust got it delivered a day ago. Initially disappointed, as it seemed unreliable. Today, I replaced the 9V battery with a 12V wall-wart, and it made a world of difference! It actually responds to the remote control now. So even though the specs say it will operate on 8.5V, give it some headroom, and it'll be much happier. No printed manual in the box, so be sure to download it from PE or the manufacturer's site, and be prepared to read it multiple times, do some head-scratching, and interpret it in the light of the fact that it wasn't written by a native speaker of English. The information I wanted was there, just not expressed in the way I'm accustomed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn't Work. No Manual. Junk.I wanted a low cost temperature monitor/controller and what I got was essentially junk. P-E should not even offer this thing. First, it came with no documentation, so I had to comb the P-E website looking for it. Once I found it, it was a total let down. The Chines/English translation was plain awful. I was totally unsuccessful in getting this thing to work, other than to display the temperature in degrees, C. I returned it and got my payment back, LESS the shipping, which, in my humble opinion is not right. Everything I have purchased from PE over the past few weeks and as a new customer has been pretty good but this thing was a total let down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for DIY projects!I bought one over a year ago and liked it so much I bought another. I like the multiple modes and settings. I am using mine to monitor and control fans on a solar heating project. The only problem I have is with the remotes. Both units are temperamental on the remote working... I have found when I am having problems disconnect for the power source and reconnect. Then things usually work fine.

Can I get this in blue with black trim????

Asked by: theconcreteguy
Unfortunately this is only available in the ivory color with the red display. We do have other temperature controllers available in blue, but they do not have a remote and have gray trim.

Are there longer probes available?

Are there longer probes for purchase with this model. Or is there a comparable model with longer probes? I'm looking for anything up to 10 ft.
Asked by: abbbbbb
We do offer replacement probes that are 119" long (9.91 feet).

Need More Information

Is it possible to get the manual for this product? There is a link to a manual but that is for some other device without relay control. I have some uses possibly for this but need to know how control points are set etc.
Asked by: Papa Tom
Tom,No response from tech support for my question on the relay contact specs, so I contacted the manufacture and they sent me this URL for the CORRECT manual: click on the download arrow on the right side of the screen.....nice to have the correct manual!BillH

What type of relay should used with this unit?

Asked by: DaveEmmert
The type of relay you'd use would be based not on this device, but on the device you'd be controlling with it. The relay outputs on this display would simply trigger a relay; what kind of relay and what it activates would be entirely up to the requirements of your application.
